Horse & Plow is a small, family run, organic winery in the Russian River Valley. We worked with them to refine and update a logo that had deep personal meaning for the owners. The original logo was created from a drawing by a family member. We worked with an illustrator to replicate the drawing style while adding greater accuracy and detail.

We refined the treatment of the horseshoe used in the logo, established simple, clean typographic standards and worked with an illustrator to refine the signature horse and plow drawing.

We designed new bottles for the Horse and Plow wines, featuring a deep earthy color palette and rich foil on the label. The capsule on the bottle was embossed with the horseshoe icon from the logo. The mix of down to earth and sophisticated clearly communicated the winery's unique character.
